Variety Sorter through Image Classification

A fully functioning prototype that sorts sugarcane billets according to its variety for optimization of yield. It integrates custom-built hardware with machine learning to classify and sort five sugarcane varieties. The system used computer vision, specifically VGG16 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model, trained using transfer learning. The application is programmed in Python, interfaced using Python - tkinter. Microcontrollers and sensors are programmed in C++.
